Macquarie Generation (now AGL) traditionally ran their maintenance outage using an extensive scope listing with lump sum pricing which required a large management effort. These projects were the first maintenance outages undertaken through an Alliance style (open-book) Contract which resulted in a lower management effort and reduced cost due to appropriate risk sharing.
