The Cowal operation is a world-class open pit gold operation located 350km west of Sydney and operated by Evolution since July 2015. It is situated within the Bland Shire on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri People. The operation also works closely with the Lachlan and Forbes Shires. The Open Pit Continuation Project is underway on the further development of the existing E42 and new open pits adjacent to E42 which may extend the open pit operations by approximately 10 years to 2036 and extend the total mine life by approximately two years to 2042.
