The Kempsey-Armidale Road is an important corridor, which links Armidale and the coast and supports the local community, agriculture and tourism industries. The Road was severely damaged by bushfires in 2019 and subsequent flooding in 2020 and 2022. The project involves repairs and rehabilitation to restore 50km of the Kempsy-Armidale Road to pre-disaster condition.
